Keeping Kids Safe in the Digital World

In June, we shared a preview of our work with Hope for Justice and Young Living Foundation—designing a three-part course for keeping kids safe online. We are pleased to announce that this course is now available for anyone to take.

Today’s youth face a growing risk of being approached by traffickers or exploited through a digital device. According to the U.S. National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the prevalence of this risk is growing at a distressing rate, with a 130% increase in online enticement reports in 2021 as compared to 2019.

The free 60-minute elearning course is built for parents, caretakers, and guardians to better understand the pervasiveness and reality of online exploitation of kids in the U.S.

Through interactive scenarios, real-life stories, relevant data, and engaging videos, viewers will learn effective techniques to minimize risky online interactions, take immediate action, and prevent online exploitation before it occurs.

Training resources include:

  • Interactive and immersive stories that break down the myths of online exploitation

  • Learner interactions that provoke personal reflection and debunk what you think you already know

  • Tangible guides and resources to use immediately with kids of any age

  • A custom story module that allows learners to engage with a real-life situation to practice and apply techniques to prevent exploitation

We are proud of this work and believe it will have a positive impact on many lives. We encourage you to engage in the training and also share it with others who could benefit from this important information.
